ROUTE 66 SPRINT SERIES
PRESENTED BY MARGAY / BRIDGESTONE
HANDS OUT $35,000 AT 1ST ANNUAL BANQUET
The Route 66 Sprint Series presented by Margay/Bridgestone handed out over $35,000.00 in awards on November 3rd. The Series hosted its first annual banquet at the Camelot Center in Springfield, IL. Brian Kavicky was the winner of the 2007 Margay 1.7 that was a raffle. Chad Kruger won the Margay kart donated by Comet Kart Sales. Tony Velez won the Yamaha engine donated by Laukaitis Racing. Justin Stiffler won the Impact Helmet donated by Otte Motorsports Group. Each first place finisher received a 5 foot tall trophy, a hooded sweatshirt, a MyChron 4, and a pair of front tires. Each of the second place finishers received a trophy, a Streeter big foot rolling stand, and a Bell Helmet Certificate. Third place received a trophy, a certificate for $500.00 off of a new Margay chassis, and a set of Bridgestone YHC tires. Fourth place finishers received a trophy, and a Multicron stopwatch. Fifth place racers received a trophy and a pair of front tires. In select classes, the sixth-eighth place finishers received trophies and a bead breaker. The Kid Karters received 3 foot tall trophies, framed photos, hats, and other items to complete their season. The Route 66 Series would like to thank its all volunteer staff of John McCracken, Wayne & Jeanette Vought, Rod & Connie Holliday, and everyone else who helped make a difference during the 2007 season.
