We are excited to announce that the venue for event #3 on the revised 2020 Route 66 Sprint Series schedule has been confirmed as the Autobahan Country Club (ACC) in Joliet, IL.  There was much concern about the pace of recovery in the state of Illinois, but the state is well on its way to a reopening, and we have been able to reschedule ACC for our third event, being held September 25-27, 2020.  ACC has a brand new track facility, pro shop, and more.  The reports are placing this venue as one of the best in the Midwest, and we’re lucky enough to have them on our schedule.  More info will be forthcoming as the event draws near, but for now, all eyes are focused on the season opener in Elkhart Lake, WI.

With just a few weeks before we all converge on the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex at Road America (July 3-5), we are encouraging people to get entered.  Many of your pre-registered for the season, and we appreciate it, but you can still purchase Friday practice online, as well as most event passes.  This will help greatly with any social distancing protocols that may be in place by the host venue, or the county.  Wisconsin does not have any statewide travel bans, or shutdowns, as it has been relatively unscathed by the Covid19 pandemic, but Milwaukee and Madison areas do still have most restaurants closed for indoor seating.  Most of the rest of WI is open for business for the most part.  The Motorplex has hosted several club events already, and the attendance has been very strong, so we are expecting an great turnout, tons of fun, and an awesome start to the season!  Make plans to be there today!

Pre-timeline timeline:

Thursday July 2:  Parking from 2pm to 7pm
Friday July 3: Parking starting at 8:30AM.  Practice from Noon to 6pm ($50 online or at the door)
Saturday & Sunday:  Practice starting at 8:00, racing to follow.

As a bonus: We are told there will be a fireworks display at the speedway put on Saturday night!
